Janice Zilm

From 1995-2000, Janice was the staff steel guitarist at The LeGarde Twins Theater on Music Row, Nashville, playing for many country guests, such as Ferlin Husky, Tommy Jennings, Billy Walker, Freddie Hart, and Vern Gosdin. She has played on many CDs and demos for several recording studios in Nashville and Illinois.

Janice is a staff writer for “Steel Guitar World” magazine, writing the column “Lace and Steel”. She has played steel for many years in Patsy Cline plays at the Alabama Shakespeare Theatre in Montgomery, AL, Macon Little Theatre in Macon, GA and The Self Family Arts Theatre in Hilton Head, SC., as well as many other plays in 4 theaters in the Peoria, IL area.

She is also the recipient of the 2011 Illinois Country Music Pioneer Award, given to an artist who has devoted at least 25 years to performing and promoting country music.

Presently, Janice is a member of 3 opry shows in Illinois and playing on a lot of steel guitar shows. I love country music and 1940's era music.

Janice currently has a new steel guitar album entitled “Ladyfingers”.
